I have a Win 7 64 bit, and I'd like to install adobe media encoder 32 bit. Is there a way to do this? It seems to automatically install the 64 bit version. The only program that gives me a choice between 64 and 32 bit is photoshop.
the media encoder uses a hell of alot of resources, i have processed some 5 minute clips with it in the padobe cs master collectionast after editing in premier pro, it takes half an hour sometimes.
installing a 32 bit version of it would not utilize all the ram you have (im going to assume you have 4 or more gigs) and would cause the program to work twice as hard and twice as long.
it is highly recommended you use 64 bit apps when available on a 64 bit sysadobe cs master collectiontem so they can run more efficiently.
Seems that you need to search within your installation DVD's, there's one called "Additional Content", where you can find complementary 32-bit related software. Premiere and After Effects are the only pieces that can't be installed in 32.
