Sometimes my dog makes this sneezing sound over and over again like she is hyperventilating and then it just goes away. It used to freak me out but now I am used to it. Does anyone know why they do this?
it is called reverse sneezing. it actually happens when the epiglottis gets stuck in one position over the wrong "hole", and it causes this noise when tsneezing soundhey try to get it back in place. it is not harmful to the animal, but is definitely weird!
ah, sounds like the reverse sneeze. look it up you will find out a lot of information about it. our 5 year old italian greyhound gets these "fits" every now and then, and then they just stop. it's not really harmful for the most part, only in rare cases.
Sounds like masneezing soundybe reverse breathing/sneezing... I have no clue why they do it but have found that putting my hand over their nostrils for a few seconds can cause it to stop.
i have a shih tzu and whenever he gets excited he does that sound i also have another friend that has a maltese and he does that too whenever he excited so i think its normal
