In the song "Lookin' For A Good Time" by Lady Antebellum, the original lyrics in the second verse were "Would you get the wrong impression, if I called us a cab right now?" but in the music video for the song, the lyrics are "Would you get the wrong impression, if I asked you to dance right now?"
Why did they lady antebellum lyricschange the lyrics?
Hi! I actually noticed this too...
So, I'm not 100% sure if this is right, but this is my speculation.
I think the line "would you get the wrong impression, if I called us a cab right now?" could POSSIBLY be taken the wrong way because when I heard it, I though it meant they were taking a cab to a hotel to get a rlady antebellum lyricsoom for the night...
I mean, I think either lyric works fine, but the "if I asked you to dance right now" was probably a conservative move on their part because it can't possibly taken for anything more than dancing.
Hope this helps! :)
Thanks!! (:
