In Goggles on going spat with China, do you think China is REALLY that interested in stopping pono or more interested in stopping people from learning to much the about west?
I think China's conduct is to stop their people learning the truth by denying them the opportunity of making real comparisons between government by dictatorship or by democracy. They lack innovation and are enjoying substantial growth by imitating the West's manufacturing and marketing techniques. Once they lose their 'cheap labour' advantage they will start to lose market share. For instance, do you think Chinese workers enjoy the same employment rights as Western workers? If you or any foreign national tried to secure employment in China what do you think the chances of success would be? When we are all playing from a level playing field the West's experience, innovation, fair working practises and free society will prevail. The Chinese government will not be able to keep their population in the dark for much longer.
I don't think China is the holiest country in the world that only censors everything comes to it, and whole other countries are fools and every 13 yrs old people allover the world (except China) watch porns!
Dam it! Google is a gift, if China loosing it then they are loosing most part of net!
Its no secret that China censors their internet and Google was a willing participant until China screwed them over. So its basically Google being pissed at being back stabbed and China well just being China.

they run their version of the capitalist society far better than america does, China's growth rate has been far superior to the usa's for over 15 years. we have nothing to teach them about capitalism
chinese tourist travel the world and generally speaking it isn't a problem to get a visa to leave

1. Do you really want your 13 year old child to stumble upon porn, and not just the soft kind, but the every kind including very gross stuff? If you do, thats your problem, I do not want my kids doing that stuff. I was not raised like that and I do not intend my children to be either.
2. Does China really want their children to watch garbage on Youtube? Building a rich culture and socigoogle chinaety with higher values and skills does not require facebook or youtube. I've seen youtube, and there are so many racist comments and nasty things being posted. Facebook is a complete and utter waste of time.
3. Americans love to lie, omit news, practice selective journalism, and generally bash any country that opposes her in anyway. Do we care about hearing your "opinions"....Not really.
4. We Chinese also know you Americans love using the "divide and conquer" trick...oldest in the book. Need I say more?

Well for a start China's a country not a city..Yep I've been to all those places you mention and many more besides. Unlike many of your countrymen, (I mean the working poor - not the social elite, friends, family and toadies of the chairman) I am free to leave my country and return whenever I wish.
Too bad you only list the "big" cities - modelled on western designs BTW - as being typical of modern China. You should take a trip outside those places and see how the bulk of Chinese people live.
